Jeff St. Pierre is a bassist currently living in the greater Boston area. Originally an alto saxophone player, his sister (a drummer) convinced him that the bass was cooler, and so he switched. Jeff graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1988 after studying bass and music synthesis.
Jeff was a founding member of the Boston based band Signs of Life. SOL played hundreds of shows at clubs and colleges up and down the east coast. After they disbanded, Jeff began the life of a sideman. He has played and recorded with award winning artists Barbara Kessler, Todd Thibaud, Amy Fairchild, Jennifer Tefft, and many others as well as touring extensively in North America and Europe with Todd. Other highlights include playing with John Fullbright, Alex Chilton and appearing on HBO’s Reverb.
Over the years, Jeff has worked in music technology with Kurzweil Music Systems, Sonivox, and AKAI as a sound designer. He also composes music for television and film, and his music has been placed on networks such as NBC, CBS, Bravo, VH1, MTV, Discovery and SyFy. He currently writes for several music libraries and can’t wait for live performances to return.
